DISCONTINUED. (Verified 08/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. Walker Skis are auxiliary tip attachments for use on the rear legs of two- wheeled walkers to allow walker users to proceed at a more normal pace. The skis glide over all surfaces including carpet, cement, vinyl, and grass, so that lifting the rear legs becomes unnecessary. The devices also eliminate rear-leg drag and reduce the vibration to the user so that user fatigue may be minimized. The units are made of high density plastic with a nylon insert. OPTIONS: Carpet Glide is an optional accessory for the bottoms of the skis to give added protection against scuffing on hardwood and very shiny floors. The Carpet Glide strips attach with double-sided tape. INSTALLATION: An insert is inserted in to the rear leg tubing after the tip has been removed. Screws are placed through the skis and into the insert, then tightened. SIZE: The skis will fit all sizes and makes of walkers.
