The VoiceType Simple Speaking is a dictation computer software package that converts speech to text for people who are unable to use a keyboard. The software accepts input through a headset-style microphone with built-in speaker that is included. It comes loaded with a general vocabulary of 22,000 words and has the capacity to learn 42,000 additional words. It also performs its own spell checks. VoiceType runs on the Microsoft Windows95 operating system, and it requires Pentium 100MHz computer with minimum of 16 megabytes of RAM, 30 megabytes available for storage, and a Sound Blaster compatible (or MWave) sound card.
