The Urgentys GPS bracelet is a personal location finder and wandering patient system designed for use in residential and institutional settings with people who have autism, Alzheimer's disease, dementia and other cognitive disabilities that may cause wandering. The Urgentys system is a wireless transmitter and locator worn on the wrist with a lockable security wristband or worn a belt. The unit uses GPS and GSM positioning to determine the wearer's location and transmits that location to the base station. It is waterproof and features a digital display activated by a button of the time and date as well as indicators of the battery level, connection to global positioning systems, signal strength. The unit also has a microphone and speaker for two-way communication and an emergency button that will contact an emergency response service designated by the user. A key for the bracelet, a screwdriver and a user manual are also included. POWER: The unit has a rechargeable battery that can recharge cordlessly or using an AC adapter (included). OPTIONS: Base unit to monitor for the Urgentys; Urgentys can be integrated with a 5 Diamond Emergency Monitoring Call Center if the user subscribes to that service (subscriptions are available through the distributor).
