DISCONTINUED. (Verified 4/1997) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. The Typestar Typewriter, model 220, is a large print electronic typewriter designed for individuals with low vision. It has silent action and if not used for 15 minutes, it will shut off automatically. It is able to print two different typestyles: Courier 10 and Script PS (proportional spacing) and letter size can be four times larger than standard typing. Other features include double width, double height, bold, underlining, and shading. There is a spell checker with 60,000 words in the main directory with the option to add up to 300 words. This typewriter can type all the characters and symbols for more than 20 languages as well as special symbols needed for typing technical documents and scientific formulas. Phrase memory saves up to 3500 characters and correction memory allows up to three lines with word delete and line delete funtions. The typewriter comes with CR-100 cartridge ribbon and carrying case. POWER: Operates on four "D" alkaline batteries (not included) or with AC adapter (included).
