The Transfer Handles are transfer aid designed to assist people with mobility disabilities in transferring to and from a bed and to assist with in-bed mobility. Model 2025 features a steel handle attached to a bed board which slides between the mattress and the box springs. Shaped in an inverted U, the handle also has a second, lower bar for added stability in standing and greater in-bed mobility. Model 2025H is similar to model 2025, but is designed specifically for use with hospital-style beds. The pan model attaches directly to the metal bed frame. Model 2001 is designed for people with limited or no ability to stand, for those who make difficult wheelchair transfers, or for those who are severely overweight. This model attaches to the bed frame for additional strength and stability. All hardware and complete instructions are included. Model 2001 is designed for bariatric patients and attaches directly to metal bed frames. OPTIONS: Model 2025H is available in two models for spring based or pan based hospital beds. DIMENSIONS: (Model 2025): The outer handle is 6 inches wide and the inner handle width is 4 inches wide. The handle fits bed boards that are 27 inches wide and 30 inches long. (Model 2025H) The spring based style’s inner width is 4 inches and the outer width is 5.5 inches. The handle height is 23 inches. The handle fits bed boards that are 12 inches wide and 27 inches long. The pan based style’s inner width is 4 inches and the outer width is 5.5 inches. (Model 2001) The handle is 11.375 inches wide and 32.5 inches high. CAPACITY: (Models 2025 & 2025H): 250 pounds. (Model 2001): 600 pounds. WEIGHT: (Model 2025 & 2025H):17 pounds.
