The Tape 2PC Conversion System is a cassette to digital audio file converter designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This device can convert books on tape or other audio material recorded on a cassette tape into an MP3 file for use on a computer or MP3 player. The Tape 2PC connects to a computer using a USB cable; no drivers are necessary for the computer. Recording software for both Windows and Macintosh computers is included. Once a track has been converted into an MP3 file, it can be transferred to a portable MP3 player or onto a CD. The unit has two cassette decks for cassette-to-cassette recording. TAPE 2 PC also can connect to a stereo system using standard RCA cables It can be used with metal and Cr02 tapes. A quick start user’s manual is also included. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: USB port, CD drive, PC, Windows XP (32-bit or 64-bit) or Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) and Mac OS x 10.4 or later.
