The Standard Bed Control is designed to control all standard functions of a powered hospital bed using a single control switch or one channel of an ECU (environmental control unit) for individuals with limited upper extremity mobility. The bed must have a removal pendant which plugs and unplugs electrically. The DBC-1 steps trough 6 functions on the bed in sequence (typically head up, head down, foot up, foot down, bed up, bed down. The bed will move as ling as the switch is engaged or until it reaches a stop. The Bed Control will step to the next function each time the switch is activated. GenesisOne's Body Switch, Tongue Switch, and Puff-Sip Switch are some possible inputs for the Bed Control. The Standard Bed Control will run most commerically available beds and it interfaces some ECU's made by other manufacturers. COMPATIBILITY: Works with most beds which have hand controls that can be dis onnected. DIMENSIONS: Measures 8 x 6 x 2 inches.
