The Sesame Phone is a touch-free smartphone designed for individuals who have limited or no use of their hands or arms, and are able to make small head movements. People with spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, or arthritis can operate the Sesame Phone’s touch-free controls with voice commands and head movements. The smartphone’s head-tracking technology understands small head movements, eliminating the need for touch. And its integrated voice control allows users to turn on/off the phone or switch between applications with the sound of their voice. Moreover, the phone’s touch-free interface extends to nearly any app from the Google Play store, so users can download apps directly unto their smartphone. The Sesame Phone is highly customizable and works with very small head movement range. It comes with a user's manual, and tutorials, live-support, and personal assistance are also available. Demonstrations can also be downloaded eethrough the demo app, which is available via the Google Play Store. The Sesame Phone does not require any additional set-up - it works touch-free right out of the box.
Uses Google Nexus 5 for the hardware (no external hardware is required). The phone uses a micro-sim for GSM connectivity, and a Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor.
