DISCONTINUED. (Verified 6/2001) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. The Prone Positioner is a prone board with casters for children from 6 months to 7 years old, or up to 47 inches tall. The positioner is similar to an angled scooter board, with front casters and a removable, adjustable front tray. Other features include padded, removable lateral trunk supports, width adjustable from 5 to 9 inches; a 2-inch wide pelvic belt that fits directly around the pelvis for aid in hip extension and symmetrical weight bearing; 2-inch wide leg belts for prevention of hip rotation; and a removable 4.5 x 4 inch abductor wedge. The board has a rolled front end for positioning the elbows slightly ahead of the shoulders to assure proper head lifting and lateral weight shift while preventing shoulder flexion and scapular retraction. DIMENSIONS: Overall measurements are 48 x 18 inches, including the tray. Length is adjustable in 2.5-inch increments. Tray is 18 x 12 inches.
