The Presto Electric Fry Pan with Tactile Controls is an electric skillet that individuals who are blind or have low vision can use to roast, fry, grill, stew, or bake-all without using a hot gas or electric burner, or a heated oven. The Presto Electric Fry Pan comes with the Control Master, an attachable unit with a temperature-control dial that features raised tactile marks. The dial has one raised mark at each 50-degree setting, and Braille marks at the 200, 300, and 400-degree settings. After placing the skillet on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface, the user has to insert the Control Master into the skillet and then connect the attached cord into an electrical wall outlet. Then the user can turn the Control Master on to the desired temperature, place food inside the skillet, and cook it until it is ready. The Presto Electric Fry Pan has a non-stick surface for stick-free cooking, and is dishwasher safe.
