The Lowenstein Occupational Therapy Assessment Geriatric (LOCTA-G) is a cognitive rehabilitation evaluation program designed for use as part of an ongoing occupational therapy evaluation and treatment plan for geriatric clients with traumatic head injuries or strokes. The LOTCA-G test provides tools for primary assessment and ongoing evaluation to determine a reliable profile of the subject's cognitive abilities. Requiring 30 to 45 minutes to administer and score, 20 comprehensive tests assess the extent of cognitive dysfunction in the areas of orientation, visual and spatial perception, visual-motor organization, and abstract reasoning. The kit includes enlarged components from the standard LOTCA (see separate entry), including card decks, colored blocks, a pegboard set, additional testing materials and an instruction manual in a carrying case with a handle. Norms for non-disabled elderly persons and those with strokes ages 70 to 91 are included.
