George the Giraffe is a positioning chair designed for use by children ages 9 months to 4 years with high or low tone, postural weakness, or complex patterns requiring appropriate reflex inhibition. George provides adjustable angle, tilt-in-space and upright sitting in a single unit and comes with four locking casters, allowing the chair to be moved from room to room. The full tilt-in-space function changes position without changing posture; the footplate, seat, back, and headrest move together. The angle between the back and seat adjusts independently form the tilt-in-space function to provide the right posture. The seat adjusts for length and angle, allowing for growth and change of posture. An adjustable positioning support tray is included. The foot positioning straps hold the heel in place while maintaining weight bearing. Upholstery is flame retardant and moisture resistant. OPTIONS: High chair frame allows for dining with the family. DIMENSIONS: The overall minimun height of the chair is 32 inches. The floor space required for is 23.5 x 17.75 inches. The seat width adjusts from 4.75 to 9.5 inches. The seat length ranges from 6 to 12 inches. The seat angle ranges from 0 degrees to 25 degrees. The tray work area is 22.5 x 12 inches. The casters are three inches.
