Exploring Nouns Sterling Edition is a language and vocabulary tutorial program designed for use by students with autism or developmental, physical, or language-learning disabilities. The program teaches 120 nouns in 10 realistic full-screen settings, thereby building vocabulary, encouraging verbal expression, and facilitating social interaction. Features include clear, colorful scenes; high-quality speech; optional animated reinforcement; teacher control over lesson presentation; accessibility with keyboard, touch screen, single switch, or mouse; and automatic record keeping. COMPATIBILITY: For use with Macintosh and IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The IBM and compatible version requires a Pentium 300 megaHertz (MHz) or faster processor; a hard drive with Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, or Vista; 64 megabytes (MB) RAM; a Windows compatible sound card; and 8x speed CD drive. The Macintosh version requires a 300 MHz processor or PowerPC; Mac OS 8.1 or later; 128 MB application RAM; and a 8x speed CD-ROM.
