DISCONTINUED. (Verified 05/93) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. The Discover 7320 scans typeset or typewritten text into personal computers. Using the Kurzweil Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) software, the Discover 7320 can recognize most 8 to 24 point typefaces, including italic, bold, and underlined, from copy that has been produced by typesetting, typewritting, offset printing, photocopiers, laser printers, impact printers, and letter quality dot-matrix printers. The format in which the document is converted by the Discover 7320 into the computer can be defined by the user. The Discover 7320 does not actually provide for voice output or other special output forms; it only converts the printed material to computer text form. The 2 megabyte Model 10 system ($3,995.00) includes a sheetfed scanner, the ICR co-processor, basic ICR software, user documentation, user license, a 90 day warranty, and one primary language package. The 4 megabyte Model 20 and 30 systems ($4,995.00 and $6,995.00) also include Landscape software and additional language packages (both models have English, French, German, Italian, and Swedish; Model 30 includes Spanish and Dutch).
