Blind Noise is a touchable synthesizer designed for people who are blind or have low vision. It can also be used for childhood development. Blind Noise is played by touch and muscle memory. The synthesizer sits on a rectangular board. Twelve different notes are arranged in concentric circles around the user’s choice of a red or blue light. Each side of the board has five circles, representing six notes. The center of the board has four knobs which adjust the pitch of the notes.

Blind Noise can be used on flat surfaces. It can also be used as a video game controller. The touch interface works using the resistance of a user’s body and the moisture content in the hands. If a user has dry hands, a weaker sound is produced. Wet hands will produce stronger sounds. Sounds will differ between users. It is important that a user’s hands not be too wet as standing water on the surface of the instrument will result in constant sound.
