The Baseline Two and Three-Point Aesthesiometers are designed for use with individuals who have diabetes or neurological disabilities. These diagnostic instruments test perception of cutaneous sensitivity. The two-point model tests the two-point threshold of touch. The three-point model adds flexibility, enabling the tester to alternate between one- and two-point sensitivity without changing settings. Both models have vinyl tips on both models minimize the effect of temperature on pain and touch thresholds. Results are registered on an easy-to-read scale calibrated to the nearest 0.1 centimeter.
