The AlertCast Detectable Warning Tile is a detectable warning surface designed to provide tactile warning of danger to pedestrians who are blind or have low vision. Made from glass-reinforced thermoset plastic, it has a top panel molded with truncated domes and bottom docking anchors that are embedded into wet concrete. The anchors lock the unit securely into the concrete without trapping air beneath the surface. The surface is safety-speckled for slip resistance, and the perimeter has a beveled edge for pedestrian safety. Panels are impact resistant, with a compression strength of 30,000 pounds per square inch. Safety spars reinforce panel strength and increase traction for pedestrians. AlertCast panels are UV-resistant, with color integral throughout. They have pre-drilled anchor holes for installation. The panels come in boxes of 10 or pallets of 20, with protective sheeting, anchors and adhesive, and attached installation instructions in English and Spanish. DIMENSIONS: 2 x 3, 2 x 4, or 2 x 5 feet. Truncated domes are 0.2 inches high with a base width of 0.9 inches, a top diameter of 0.45 inches, and with center-to-center spacing of 2.35 inches. WEIGHT: 13 pounds (2 x 3 feet); 17 pounds (2 x 4 feet); or 22 pounds (2 x 5 feet). COLOR: Safety yellow, brick red, black, grey, or colonial red.
